signage directing travelers to this hotel are missing in the airport; to get to it, you must exit the airport and walk through the parking lot. there is a bus but again there is no signage. Hotel staff do not volunteer information about the hotel or how to use the bus. the hotel is itself is comfortable enough but the alarm clock in the rooms do not work. Daylight savings time happened while I was there but the tiny digital clock on the TV screen did not change; this was also where the alarm clock was located--pressing the controller gave me a message saying 'please wait' that lasted while I changed clothes and washed hands. The food was good but there are no prices listed for the nightly buffet.

The hotel is very convenient to the South terminal. It has nice amenities. But their charges for internet and breakfast are extremely high, even for British and European standards. The decor is modern, but the design of the bathroom is very poor. The tube/shower is deceptively high and you are subject to slip when exiting. Be careful of the door stop in the bathroom. They conveniently placed it where you step out of the tub.

Great find for overnite stay before flying from Gatwick south terminal back to US. Very contemporary, clean, comfy, spacious rooms. Nice open bar/restaurant. Very kind staff. Hotel manager even issued complaint against taxi after we were ripped off on the rate. Great hotel and even had washcloths, something we found hard to come by while traveling in UK.
